Privacy policy

Summary

Photos are handled on your own device and are never uploaded. You do not need an account. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies, and there are no ads on the site at the moment.

Your photos

A photo you add, or take with the camera, is handled by the browser on your phone or computer: the face is found, the background separated, the checks run and the file saved, all there. No photo travels to a server, which means we cannot receive it, look at it or keep it.

The camera is switched on only while its window is open in the maker, and a picture taken with it is treated exactly like a photo you add.

What is kept in your browser

When you pick a photo on the start page, your browser holds it in its own storage (IndexedDB) on your device so that the maker you choose can open it. It is deleted after two hours at most, or straight away when you press the × next to it.

Some choices are remembered in the browser's local storage: the country and document in the passport and ID photo maker, your profile picture settings, the light or dark theme and your language.

The AI model files are fetched from this site the first time a maker runs, and the browser caches them so the next start is quicker.

Nothing in this list reaches us. Removing this site's data in your browser settings deletes all of it.

Visit statistics and hosting

Cloudflare Web Analytics tells us how many visits there are and which pages are read. It sets no cookies, saves nothing on your device and cannot tell who you are.

Cloudflare also hosts the site. To deliver the pages and stop attacks, it handles technical data such as IP addresses.

Advertising

There are no ads on the site at the moment. Should ads be introduced, this policy will be revised before the first one appears.

Children

The site is not aimed at children under 13. A parent or guardian can of course use the passport and ID photo maker to make a child's photo.
