India e-Visa photo maker, 1000 × 1000 px

The Indian e-Visa form takes a square digital photo, not a printed one. The maker crops your selfie to a square, sets a white background and saves a JPG that fits the limits.

1. Choose the document

2. Add your photo

A selfie is fine. The photo is taken by itself only when position, shoulders, facing, expression and light are all right; size and framing are set automatically.

Add one photo of your face looking straight at the camera (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC).

How to take a photo that passes
  • Stand about 1 m in front of a plain light wall, facing a window or soft light.
  • A selfie is fine: hold the phone at arm’s length at eye level (both hands keep the shoulders level), face and shoulders square to it. A phone right in front of the face makes the nose and forehead look bigger.
  • Look straight at the camera, mouth closed, both eyes open, hair off the eyes and ears.
  • No hat, no tinted glasses; keep your shoulders in the picture.
  • Use a photo taken in the last 6 months.

Your photo stays on this device. Only the AI model files (about 41 MB, once) are downloaded from this site.

Your photo never leaves this device. Everything runs in your browser.

How to use it

  1. ‘1. Choose the document’ already shows Indian e-Visa (1000 × 1000 px square). Switch with ‘Country’ or ‘Document and size’. ‘Show size and rules’ lists what the Indian e-Visa photo asks for.
  2. In ‘2. Add your photo’ choose ‘Open the camera’ or pick a picture; a Indian e-Visa photo works best in front of a plain pale wall, chin level.
  3. Read the ‘Checks’. For Indian e-Visa the head has to measure 25–35 mm, measured from the chin to the top of the hair, on a plain white background. For Indian e-Visa, anything under ‘Some things need a new photo’ comes with the reason and a retake tip.
  4. ‘Fine-tune’ shifts the position, the brightness and the Indian e-Visa head size, which must stay within 25–35 mm. Keep ‘Face, hair and clothes’ on ‘No touch-ups’.
  5. For Indian e-Visa: ‘Save file’ gives the online file (a square JPG of 1000 × 1000 px, 10–300 KB); ‘Save print sheet’ puts copies on 4 × 6 in, 10 × 15 cm or 89 × 127 mm paper.

What it does

  • The rules for Indian e-Visa

For Indian e-Visa, ‘Show size and rules’ lists 1000 × 1000 px square, a head of 25–35 mm, a plain white background, and the rule on glasses: the maker builds in no glasses rule for this size, so follow the office’s instructions.

  • The head measured the way this office measures it

For the Indian e-Visa photo the head is measured from the chin to the top of the hair. The maker applies that measure to the Indian e-Visa frame, so hair does not skew the face size.

  • The file or the sheet you need

The Indian e-Visa file follows the limits of the form: a square JPG of 1000 × 1000 px, 10–300 KB. A print sheet puts several copies on one page.

Good to know

This entry has no paper size at all: it is only an upload file. The head fills the same share of the square as in the US photo, and the file has to stay between 10 and 300 KB, so the maker lowers the quality step by step until it fits.

The figures for Indian e-Visa come from the maker’s rule card, checked in October 2026 against the issuing office’s published guidance, and rules change, so read the current Indian e-Visa instructions before you submit.
