Korean ID card and driver licence photo maker
The ID card and the driver licence share the 35 × 45 mm size, but the licence also has its own online file. The maker saves the print version and the 350 × 450 px file.

A selfie is fine. The photo is taken by itself only when position, shoulders, facing, expression and light are all right; size and framing are set automatically.
Add one photo of your face looking straight at the camera (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC).

How to take a photo that passes
- Stand about 1 m in front of a plain light wall, facing a window or soft light.
- A selfie is fine: hold the phone at arm’s length at eye level (both hands keep the shoulders level), face and shoulders square to it. A phone right in front of the face makes the nose and forehead look bigger.
- Look straight at the camera, mouth closed, both eyes open, hair off the eyes and ears.
- No hat, no tinted glasses; keep your shoulders in the picture.
- Use a photo taken in the last 6 months.
Your photo stays on this device. Only the AI model files (about 41 MB, once) are downloaded from this site.
Some things need a new photo
These problems cannot be fixed automatically. A new photo taken like this will most likely pass:

How to use it
- ‘1. Choose the document’ already shows Korean ID card or driver licence (35 × 45 mm). Switch with ‘Country’ or ‘Document and size’. ‘Show size and rules’ lists what the Korean ID card or driver licence photo asks for.
- In ‘2. Add your photo’ choose ‘Open the camera’ or pick a picture; a Korean ID card or driver licence photo works best in front of a plain pale wall, chin level.
- Read the ‘Checks’. For Korean ID card or driver licence the head has to measure 32–36 mm, measured from the chin to the top of the head, hair not counted, on a white, off-white, light grey or light blue for the ID card background. For Korean ID card or driver licence, anything under ‘Some things need a new photo’ comes with the reason and a retake tip.
- ‘Fine-tune’ shifts the position, the brightness and the Korean ID card or driver licence head size, which must stay within 32–36 mm. Keep ‘Face, hair and clothes’ on ‘No touch-ups’.
- For Korean ID card or driver licence: ‘Save file’ gives the online file (350 × 450 px, up to 250 KB for the driver licence online file); ‘Save print sheet’ puts copies on 4 × 6 in, 10 × 15 cm or 89 × 127 mm paper.
What it does
The rules for Korean ID card or driver licence
For Korean ID card or driver licence, ‘Show size and rules’ lists 35 × 45 mm, a head of 32–36 mm, a white, off-white, light grey or light blue for the ID card background, and the rule on glasses: tinted glasses are not allowed and hair must not cover the eyes or the outline of the face.
The head measured the way this office measures it
For the Korean ID card or driver licence photo the head is measured from the chin to the top of the head, hair not counted. The maker applies that measure to the Korean ID card or driver licence frame, so hair does not skew the face size.
The file or the sheet you need
The Korean ID card or driver licence file follows the limits of the form: 350 × 450 px, up to 250 KB for the driver licence online file. A print sheet puts several copies on one page.
Good to know
The ID card allows more background colours than the passport, so a light grey or light blue backdrop is fine there. For the driver licence the background must stay as photographed; replacing it is not accepted, so shoot it in front of a plain pale wall.
The figures for Korean ID card or driver licence come from the maker’s rule card, checked in October 2026 against the issuing office’s published guidance, and rules change, so read the current Korean ID card or driver licence instructions before you submit.
